WELFARE CHECKS

Welfare Checks
Our trained staff conduct community welfare checks to assess the wellbeing of children at a specific address.
Welfare checks are conducted to assess the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people. These checks are initiated following a referral from social services and with the family’s consent. Our staff visit the designated address to evaluate the child or young person’s condition, ensuring their safety and welfare.
Unlike the police, we do not have the authority to enter a home without the parent or guardian’s permission. However, during the visit, our staff will document the presence of individuals at the address and record any concerns or risks that may arise. If significant concerns are identified, we immediately notify the relevant local authorities to take appropriate action.
